The Top 3 Most Anticipated Movies of 2017

With each new year comes a wide selection of movies to choose from. So many that it can be just as much of a chore to pick the flick as it is to actually find time to watch it. We’ve got you covered, this time with 3 of the most highly-anticipated movies of 2017.

3. Dunkirk

Director Christopher Nolan, who helmed the award-winning Dark Knight Trilogy, as well as time/mind-bending movies such as Inception and Interstellar, created a different type story for us this Summer. The trailer released at the beginning of this year will send shivers down your spine, as it puts into perspective the feeling of impending doom that soldiers faced at the height of the WWII. It may be a history lesson for those who are unfamiliar with the Battle of Dunkirk, but it surely will be one best seen on the big screen. Starring Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, and even One Direction’s Harry Styles, Dunkirk is guaranteed to be a cinematic sensation.

2. Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2

Chris Pratt reprises his role as Peter Quill, also known as Star Lord. “Who?” you may ask? Not all super hero movies are made alike. Director James Gunn nailed his vision of bringing a “different type” of super hero to the screen, inspired by the comic book series of the same name. It clearly made quite the impression, as Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 1 was a huge hit in 2014, with over 750 million in box office sales. It’s unforgettable soundtrack and dynamic range of characters bring a new world to the screen that will make you forget you’re watching a super hero movie at all.

1. Star Wars Episode VII: The Last Jedi

Disney is promising a new Star Wars movie every year. 2015 reintroduced the series in a new light with The Force Awakens. It received wide acclaim, reminding many of where the series began back in 1977. The success of the series continuation, as well as 2016’s Rogue One (the first of the Star Wars Anthology series) has generated quite a bit of excitement for the newest installment, and it’s on everybody’s must-see list this year.
