Nintendo Making a Comeback

In the 90’s Nintendo was the system everybody needed to have, with popular gaming titles such as Mario, James Bond 007, and Super Smash Brothers; games that were simple but so much fun to play. These games were so simple that when competitors such as PlayStation and Xbox came into play, the must-have Nintendo had to take a backseat in the gaming world. The PlayStation and Xbox brought new elements such as graphics, multi joy-stick controls, and online gaming that took gaming to heights never before imagined. Although Nintendo has always been a cheaper system, it doesn’t offer the same excitement and entertainment as it once did, until now.

In November of 2016 Nintendo released a 3 minute video showcasing their new system, Nintendo Switch. I’ve been playing video games since I was 7 years old and I have never been more excited for a game release in my life. I even went to the extent of pre-ordering my Nintendo because I want to avoid that horrible feeling you get when you hear that your favourite product is sold out.

The gaming system can connect to the television as usual but it is also portable like a Nintendo DS. Gamers can play games at home and then continue their game outside the house with friends. This system also comes equipped with the nun-chucks featured in the previous Nintendo systems, which is good news for the people that purchase Nintendo for its Fitness options. This system is very versatile and shows that Nintendo has come a long way over the years. The only issue I have with this Nintendo is that the games are expensive and on top of the games being expensive, some games come with in game add-ons. Gamers will need to keep a credit card close by when gaming.
